Quarry Rock Vineyard
Quarry Rock vineyard was established in 2000 on a sunny, frost free site sheltered by a rock face which over looks bright green pastures.
Quarry Rock is a very small boutique vineyard located on Oakwood Road near the Gleniti Golf course on the outskirts of Timaru in South Canterbury.
It is nestled under a basalt rock face and sheltered from the south creating a unique micro climate to grow our Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling grape varieties.
The first experimental grapes were planted in 1985 by the Poplawski family with the assistance of Lincoln University and proving successful, further grapes were planted in the mid-nineties. The vineyard with maturity on its side is producing some very good quality wines.

Award winning wine maker Dean Shaw who makes our wines ensures the best possible wines are produced from our unique South Canterbury vineyard.
Dean makes wine for 11 labels, including @TwoPaddocks Wines and @surveyorthomson Domaine Thomson Wines.
